Moffat the picturesque holiday town lies in the Annandale Valley of Dumfries and Galloway within 1.5 miles of Junction 15 of the A74(M) Carlisle to Glasgow Motorway. It has always been a popular stopping point for tourists, with its tree lined main street and a host of speciality shops. The Woollen Mill, Station Park and the new Hammerlands Activity Centre are amongst the many attractions, and there are numerous places to stay and eat, covering all tastes and budgets.
